Education Resources

We love having school groups along to see our productions.

For each production we create comprehensive educational support materials for teachers and students to use in their classrooms. We hope you and your students enjoy working through them and that they make your lives just that little bit easier.

Choose Your Own Adventure
Resources cater for students from Years 3 to Year 12. The concept is for you to pick and utilise resources, depending on the age and abilities of your students.

The Activity Book is aimed at younger audience members, and The Study Guide is crafted for older students. However, it is not restrictive. For example, Year 11 students may well like to complete some of the written responses in the Activity Book, and Year 5 students may benefit from reading the information on Narratives and Design Choices included in the Study Guide. It is all there for you to use at your leisure.

You will find our resources on individual production pages.

Slingsby by Request

As students return to schools, the future of live performance remains uncertain. We are determined to keep the joy and wonder of live performance alive for you and your students. Nothing can compare to the ‘shared time and space’ of live theatre, but in extraordinary times we must learn to adapt.

Since launching over a month ago, Slingsby by Request has already been experienced by over 2500 students in 78 classes. With the flexibility to work around your schedule and the ease of online access, high quality theatrical experiences are just a click away.

Workshops & Residencies

In response to demand from teachers and organisations to learn more about Slingsby’s unique creative process, a workshops and residencies program was created in 2016.

If you are interested in finding out more about this program, please contact us.

Internships & Work Experience

We love having interns and work placement students with us at Slingsby.

Running a theatre company means every day is different, and the same can be said for our intern and placement program!

If you are interested in finding out how you can get involved, please contact us.
